Here at St Jude's C of E Schools, we believe we have a duty to the child and their family. Our whole school ethos revolves around supporting the whole child. If we have unhappy, or unsettled children, they are not in the right place to learn and won't reach their potential.

Mrs Summerton is the ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) as well as the Parental Engagement Co-ordinator (PEC). She is available to talk to parents who may be struggling in an area of parenting. This can be bedtime routines, fussy eaters, family breakdowns or children who were not behaving well at home.

Mrs Summerton also spends time with children who may need a little extra support managing their emotions, for example, perhaps in response to a change that has occurred for them that they are finding difficult.
