The governors at St Jude's C of E Schools Federation help us fulfil our vision of excellence in education, kindness in the community and courage through faith.

Meet our Governors
Juan Pemberton (Foundation Governor)
Juan's experience encompasses specialist and generalist management skills in a number of commercial and HR roles. As Deputy Group HR Director of Direct Line Insurance Group, Juan was part of the leadership team that floated the company on the London Stock Exchange in 2012. A two-year Sabbatical followed, during which extensive travel to Africa, Asia and Australia were highlights.
Juan's roots are in the Isle of Man (hence his name 'Jew-un' ) albeit he now lives in Windsor. His most recent business role was as the HR Director of Barclays Retail Bank based in Canary Wharf, London.
Dan Parsonage (Staff Governor) SAFEGUARDING
I’m employed as Technical Operations Manager at Royal Holloway University of London. At RHUL I'm responsible for Health and Safety which ranges from day to day H&S through to laboratory process and plant areas, along with planning and implementing a Covid-19 compliant campus for teaching and research. I sit on various senior committees within RHUL, one being for college capital investment appraisal.
I have always worked in higher education in a science setting including research and teaching and I feel with my experiences I can offer support to the school as a parent governor. I have two children, one in year 4, Maxime, and then Oscar in year 7. I feel it is time to give something back to the community and school.
Vicki Chiverton (Headteacher)
Vicki starting teaching in 1991 and has previously worked in schools in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. Having lived in Englefield Green and surrounding area for quite some time, Vicki understands the diverse needs of the village and its children. After ten years as a deputy head and keen to lead a school of such high regard, she took up her first headship at St Jude’s in April 2008 and loves the school so much that she is still here!
Pru Ashplant (Associate Member)
Pru started teaching in 2001 in Somerset and moved to St Jude’s in 2005. She was appointed Deputy Head in 2009, initially of the junior school but she now works across both schools and thoroughly enjoys working alongside her colleagues and the children of all ages. Pru's key responsibility is the quality of teaching and learning.
Vaughan Pryce-Jenkins (Parent Governor)
I am a parent of children at all stages of St Jude’s schools (Junior, Infants, Pre-school) and I am excited at the opportunity to listen, learn and support the school as a parent governor.
I am a civil engineer, working on the design of offshore wind farms. I lead a team of fantastic, diverse engineers and work on a number of complex projects all over the world, which require management, leadership, problem-solving and communication skills. Through work, I have also been an active STEM ambassador in schools.
Canon Judith Allford (Ex-officio)
Canon Judith Allford was named as vicar at St Jude's Church in 2019. As our St Jude's Schools are church schools, with extremely close links to St Jude's Church, we were delighted to welcome Judith, as ex-officio, to the governing body. Judith is vital in maintaining the school's Christian values, as well as being the pastoral support for the staff.
Revd Jeremy Brown (Ex-officio)
Rev Jeremy Brown is one of the foundation (church appointed governors) from Christ Church Virginia Water. He is the children and families pastor at Christ Church. He, along with Judith, take Monday morning assemblies at the school.
Jeremy is married to Clair, and they have 3 children: Grace and Samuel are at Magna Carta and Daniel attends Manor Mead Virginia Water. He enjoys football and supports Aston Villa!
Helen McKee (Foundation Governor)
Helen has a long-standing interest in education, having taught at university level since the 1990s; she also ran a Sunday school for several years. Her two children are both now at secondary school but both attended St Jude’s Infant and Junior schools. Helen is also on the Admissions Committee and is SEND governor.
Carlos Pittol (Foundation Governor) VICE CHAIR
Carlos has been a governor since 2009, first at Englefield Green Infant School and then at St Jude's Junior School and is now on the Federated governing body of St Jude's Schools. He has two daughters; both of whom attended St Jude's Schools. Carlos was a research chemist and now works in venture capital finance and biotechnology. He has a broad knowledge of and a keen interest in education, especially maths and science.

I’m the Director of Operations at Duet Health Foundation, where I oversee governance, finance and day‑to‑day operations for a health charity. My background spans the charity and public sectors, with experience in project management, policy development and organisational systems.
I live in Englefield Green and have two children at St Jude’s. I’m looking forward to supporting the school with a practical, supportive approach and a strong commitment to its community.
Sam Jenkins joined the Governing Body in 2023 and has experience across the education, civic and third sectors. He first moved to the local area during the covid pandemic after taking a student engagement role at Strode’s College, before being elected in May 2022 as a local Councillor. Sam now works as Volunteer and Systems Manager for a charity that supports children with disabilities and additional needs.

Victoria Horncastle (LA Governor)
With over 15 years of professional experience in audit and governance, Tori is passionate about supporting the school’s strategic development, making a positive difference through thoughtful decision-making and collaboration. She is delighted to bring this experience to the role as a governor and endeavour to create the best possible opportunities and educational experience for all pupils.
As a parent of three young children, she understands how important a positive school experience is for children and their families. She is committed to helping to support the school's inclusive environment where children feel valued, supported and inspired to reach their potential and for families to feel part of the school community. She believes in the importance of strong partnerships between the school and families, effective governance and making thoughtful decisions that have a meaningful impact and help the whole school community thrive.
Will Hall (Associate Member)
Will is a civil servant working on major events within the Cabinet Office. He has experience leading teams that have helped respond to most of the major events and incidents that have impacted the UK over the last few years.
Prior to this, Will was an officer within the British Army, training and leading soldiers in various locations, including two tours of Afghanistan. He is a generalist who hopes to bring a range of leadership and project management skills to help support the St. Jude's Federation. As a new governor, he is keen to learn from the team and support wherever he can.
Will lives in Egham with his wife Emma, their daughter Olivia, who is a pupil thriving at the infant school, their toddler son Max and their dog Hector!
