As our year gets firmly underway, School Council would like to update everyone on our agenda for the year and what we have been focusing on this term.

School Council representatives from each class were elected during the first week of term, based upon the job description.

We met and got to know each other and what the role of a School Councillor is. A discussion about the focus of our work quickly took place. 

We have met regularly and discussed issues raised by classes. The main area of interest is Eco Schools and environmental issues. We have been supporting the school with the introduction of the allotments, encouraging children to be involved. We have also been busy creating posters and reminders for staff and children to turn off lights and projectors to save electricity and turn taps off to save water.

Next term we will looking at ways to reduce the school's carbon footprint with the help of parents, staff and children.
