PAN Consultation 2025

Dear Parents, Carers and Stakeholders

As many of you will know, last year we reduced St Jude’s Infant School Pupil Admission Number (PAN) from 60 to 30, meaning that we would be able to structure the school with one single-aged class from Reception upwards.

Our current infant school numbers are: Reception - 29, Year 1 - 28 and Year 2 - 30. These numbers will move up to the junior school and naturally continue the pattern of single-aged classes, making both St Jude’s Infants and Juniors one-form entry schools.

In the future, our intention is to have both schools on one site, making us a single-form primary school.  For this reason, The Governors have decided to consult on a PAN reduction for St Jude’s Juniors from 60 to 30.  This reduction in PAN for the juniors, to match the infants, will create the right structure for a single-form entry primary school on one site.

Please see the attached letter for details and for how you can share your views on this proposal.

Kind regards

Mrs Chiverton and the Governors of St Jude’s C of E Schools Federation
